Delta Squad Racing ("we," "our," or "us") built the Delta Squad Racing app to help horse racing enthusiasts analyze yearling auction data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Password (stored as a secure hash — we never store your plaintext password)
• Account creation date and verification status

Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use the app:

• Yearling records you view and sort preferences
• Search queries within the app
• App session timestamps and general usage patterns

Device Information

We may collect basic device information including device type, operating system version, and app version for diagnostic purposes.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset)
• To provide access to yearling scoring data and ML predictions
• To improve app performance and diagnose technical issues
• To communicate important updates about the service

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: We use third-party services to operate the app, including cloud infrastructure (Railway, Microsoft Azure) and transactional email delivery (Resend). These providers access your information only to perform services on our behalf.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Microsoft Azure SQL servers. We implement industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed password storage, and access controls. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

Your Rights — Account Deletion

You have the right to delete your account and associated data at any time. You can do this from within the app:

• Go to Settings → Delete Account
• Confirm deletion — this action is permanent and cannot be undone

Upon deletion, your email address, password hash, and personal account data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Delta Squad Racing is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Third-Party Services

The app may display publicly available horse racing data sourced from industry databases. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party data providers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by sending a notification to your registered email address.
